4. Application of optical fiber delay line in the field of Optical switch

Optical switch refers to the technology of controlling and switching optical signals in optical communications. It allows optical signals to switch between different paths, enabling multiplexing and interaction. This technology is commonly used in fiber optic networks and data centers to increase the efficiency and flexibility of data transmission.  The optical switch-based optical fiber delay line selects different optical paths through the optical switch to achieve different time delays. The basic principle is to achieve different delays by changing the optical path. It is a typical discrete optical fiber delay line. The modulated optical signal is transmitted through the optical fiber, and the optical switch array selects the optical path that generates the corresponding delay. By opening this optical switch and ensuring that the other optical switches are closed, the required delay can be achieved.
